Netflix has officially announced the eagerly awaited seventh season of “Big Mouth,” set to premiere on October 20th. Created by the talented Nick Kroll, this animated series continues to guide its main characters through the tumultuous journey of discovering love, sexuality, and navigating the labyrinth of human emotions. Along the way, they encounter a host of peculiar creatures that personify various aspects of the human condition. While puberty was undoubtedly challenging, the trials and tribulations of teenagers trying to make sense of the world can be even tougher, and not even a Hormone Monster can provide all the answers to making wise decisions.
Nick (voiced by Nick Kroll) has learned some valuable lessons over the past two seasons and is determined to steer clear of his self-centered alter ego, Nick Starr, as he matures. The latest season delves deeper into the theme of empathy, challenging the main cast to betterunderstand the people around them. In the sixth season’s final episode, they found themselves in a situation reminiscent of “Freaky Friday,” with Andrew (John Mulaney) waking up in his father’s body, while his dad had to relive the awkwardness of adolescence trapped in his son’s body.
Life hasn’t been a walk in the park for the Hormone Monsters either, as Maury (also voiced by Nick Kroll) and Connie (Maya Rudolph) navigate the complexities of parenthood while raising a baby together. Given that Hormone Monsters age differently than humans, Montel (Cole Escola) may have undergone significant changes since his last appearance on screens worldwide. Hormone Monsters need wisdom to guide human children through the challenges of adulthood, but Montel’s ongoing developmental stages may cause him to exhibit some of the less desirable traits of his parents simultaneously.
